Djouce Challenge!
Riding the best single track Djouce woods has to offer!

The event took part under glorious November sunshine, over 80 MTB'ers assembled in the lower Djouce car park for what was set to be a truly memorable XC MTB event.
A special mention goes to Robin Seymour for organising the day - much appreciated by all!

The Elite category XC MTB'ers generously gave up their time to marshall the event and kept everything running smoothly.
The mass start from the fireroad was a frantic affair with everyone hyped-up and raring to go - the hill that followed shortly after did a good job of thinning out the riders before they were treated to some of the fastest and most exciting singletrack most people had ridden in a long time.
All riders were treated to an amazing display of food and cups o' tea at the finish line- the rice krispy squares were particularly good.
All in all, a great event, and one that people love to see more of!

Comments on the various MTB forums said it all...

"Trails were bone dry and excellent - how many hours went into that bit along the river that's been built up with 100's of rocks? Mental. And the tailwhippy corners, so class. First time in Djoyce, I'll be back."
