Mountain Bike racing for Westport.
The 2nd round of the Connacht Mountain bike league will be promoted by the Covey Wheeler Westport cycling club at Knockranny Woods on Sunday the 8th November, the woods is near The Knockranny hotel on the Castlebar Rd out of Wesport.
There will be races for all categories, novice, all youth categories from under 8′s up, and the Elite race as the grand finale.
The Novice section has become very popular of late with loads of new people given Mountain biking ago, events are well marshaled and traffic free and for this category its all about participation, the motto is “try it you might like it”.
The course is already marked out, so why not bring your Mountain bike and helmet to the woods for a go before Sunday.
Sign opens at 11am and youth races start at 12noon. Senior races start at 1pm sharp.

Hi folks, we’re holding a couple of races in Killarney for bikers of all abilities to meet up & to enjoy a good day out.

Over the past couple of weeks, there’s been doing some building done on this trail to make it into a fun but challenging single track loop. The loop is 2.4 km & can take from 10 mins to complete.
The format will involve a number of laps depending on category.

Details are as follows:

Venue: Loughguitane Wood(opposite Loughguitane School), Muckross, Killarney.

Race Dates: October 11th and Nov 29th (previously changed from 6th Dec)
